Untuk mak2 macam saya yang selalu dihimpit kerja (ye I kadang2 kena bawak kerja balik oii..), I had to deal with this for the time being. But like I said, I awasi apa yang dia tengok. Contoh2 video yang I bagi dia tengok macam ABC, Nursery Rhymes, Alif Ba Ta, selawat/zikir, numbers, Upin Ipin. My mother even buat cardio exercise in youtube with my lil' Aisyah lagi tuu..
Apa yang I perasan from my lil' Aisyah was:
- Her vocabulary expanded rapidly. She mimicked what Upin Ipin cakap, even made body moves. To me, that's a good progress
- Her knowledge on ABC, numbers, alif ba ta expanded.. She is able to recognize ABC/numbers, read ABC/numbers sampai 1-20, bila tunjuk colours dia tau apa dia and body parts/food.. She no longer needs flashcards sebab dia dah tau semua, so now we continue to teach her reading
- When she is in her playgroup, dia familiar dengan nursery2 rhymes yang teacher pasang, and boleh buat aksi2 yang lagu tu selalunya buat. Contoh, macam lagu Chicken Dance or Wheels on The Bus, she knows apa aksi yang nak dibuat --- ni penangan video la ni kann.. Which to me is a good thing
From sharing videos with her, we also learnt a few things:
- Kalau nak bagi dia membaca, jangan tunjuk dia laptop dulu. Yes, kids do get addicted to laptop/tablet, and same goes to my daughter. That's why it's really important to bertegas
- There are some kids videos which may not be suitable to her, in my opinion. For example, we are slowly phasing out daripada dia tengok kartun Pocoyo dalam youtube. Sebab kat dalam video tu karakter dia ada cakap "No!" sambil buat aksi berpeluk tubuh. We saw that she has been imitating that...
Hopefully you ladies not being judgmental ye.. :)
